How it works.

Three steps. No surprises on weight or price.

Amish farmland with white farm buildings

Reserve your share

Pick a whole, half or quarter and reserve it with 35% down: $1,680 on a whole, $892.50 on a half, $472.50 on a quarter. The deposit holds your place in the next harvest. Boxes are different: paid in full, shipped from stock.

We harvest and cut

The animal goes to a USDA-inspected plant. It comes back cut, wrapped, frozen and labeled. We email you the day it is ready.

Pick up or we ship

Pay the balance and collect your share in mid-Michigan, or we ship it by weight. Boxes go out frozen with gel packs by 2-day service, shipping included.

Why a fixed weight

Most farms sell a half beef by hanging weight, and you find out the real pounds and the real price after the animal is cut. We do not. A half is 200 lb of finished beef and $2,550. What is left on each animal after the shares are filled goes into our boxes. You never pay for weight you did not get.

What finished beef means

Finished beef is what goes in your freezer: cut, trimmed, wrapped and frozen. Not live weight, not hanging weight. When we say 200 lb, that is 200 lb of packages.

Pickup and shipping

Shares are picked up in mid-Michigan on the day we confirm, or shipped at the carrier's rate by weight. The 50 lb and 25 lb boxes ship free, frozen, in insulated boxes with gel packs, anywhere in Michigan and Ohio and across our region.

The standard

Every farm signs it before its beef carries our name.
